My goal at La Mécanique des Flûtes:
to do everything possible to meet the highest standards of musicians
and to earn their trust.

MY PRINCIPLES
I work exclusively on flutes and piccolos; my experience is entirely focused on these instruments.
I don’t only work with professionals — all flutists are welcome!
I answer all your questions as honestly as possible and offer advice to the best of my knowledge.
My services are described in detail.
Your instrument is kept for a set amount of time, and deadlines are respected thanks to an appointment system.
I don’t hesitate to invest in top-quality tools. As Ernest Ferron says in My Voice is a Saxophone:
"A repairer who has — or wants — a top-level clientele must be willing to invest in equipment."
But above all, what matters most is proving yourself!

-
Completely disassemble and clean flutes and piccolos, even for annual COAs
-
Clean the instrument during every service
-
Precisely shim pads for optimal adjustment
-
Replace consumables with identical parts
-
Keep all types of pads in stock
-
Follow manufacturer specifications for key heights, spring tension, and headjoint cork positioning
-
Repair damaged cases
-
Play-test flutes and piccolos for at least half an hour after COAs, and for two hours over several days after an overhaul
